Who is Cub Pack 225? Pack 225 is the oldest and most successful Cub Scout Pack in Merrick. Our sponsor is the Curé of Ars Church, although you do not have to be Catholic to join us. Our Scout Year runs from September through June, with Special Camping Events over the summer.

Pack Nights (when all scouts and parents attend) are held once each month usually in the Curé of Ars gym, typically on a Friday night from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. Pack nights are full of excitement, including Scout skills and crafts, demonstrations, games activities and a Pot Luck Snack Table.

Den Meetings are held at least once each month. Your Den (a group of boys your own age) will meet at a Den Leader’s house to have even more fun with Scout activities. Most of the meetings will be centered around the Cub Scout Handbook, as you will be working on activity and advancement badges. Some Den Meetings may be held at a special place, like the police department, or may be a special activity, like taking a local hike to practice compass reading and tree identification.

Pack Activities are held almost every month. We schedule fun things that you won’t do through school or a sports program…like sleeping over on a battleship, remote control car races, rock climbing, bicycle trips, camping trips and more!

Pack Events are held throughout the year. These usually include a Halloween party, holiday party, and our special Pinewood Derby Race. And don’t forget Cub Scout Summer Camp, and the special Cub/Parent camping weekend in August!
